There were more than one occasion where tears sprung up in my eyes. Heck, I loved that these two characters were created! The chemistry between Hadley and Oliver is undeniable. Rescheduled for the next one three hours later, which will make her arrive barely on time, she meets Oliver, a British student at Yale, on his way to London for some other wedding.

Do you believe in fate? I call this kind of person a cheater. I absolutely loved the interaction between Hadley and Oliver. What really disturbed me was my inability to like any of the main characters and the message they conveyed through their actions.

The premise is interesting. The similarity ends there, unfortunately. At first, I thought that the problem I had with this book had to do with the narrative technique.
I can completely understand where Hadley is coming from when she has to deal with the fact that her father has moved on and has found a new life in England. Smith may open your eyes to the possibility of it. Finally, I disliked Hadley and her drama queen behavior. Will she see Oliver again?
How do you dump your dad on his wedding day and go see a boy you just met? The raw emotion that is found within this book was so amazing that it literally took my breath away. They pull at my heartstrings like no other story can.
And to think I was so eager to read it. And what about Charlotte, the new wife? Light and fluffy is totally my cup of tea, but disagreeing with the general message of the book is a whole different story.
Not only during the times where Hadley is reliving her past memories of happier times, but also when she finally comes face to face with her father, and has to deal with the different emotions that are going on inside of her.
It felt like this budding thing she had with Oliver was more important than her family issues, which should so not be the case. Then break into tears right before the wedding reception and make it all about you, you, you?
I loved the way each chapter opens up with the a time, proof enough that the events that take place in this amazing book does, in fact, take place in just one day. Her writing has been translated into 28 languages. Love might be illogical but marriage and commitment are not. The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight is a story that will leave a warm fuzzy feeling in the hearts of readers everywhere.
